
Received B.A. in Communication and Fine Arts from the University
of Haifa and a diploma from the School of Screenwriting (Tel Aviv),
both in 2001. Since 1995, has worked as an editor, graphic designer
and correspondent with the newspaper Al-Ittihad and numerous other
Arabic publications, as a radio announcer, and as an associate television
scriptwriter. Worked previously with Mossawa and I’LAM, Palestinian
NGOs in Israel; and served as parliamentary assistant to MK Muhammad
Barakeh. Author of a novel, The Circus (2001), a collection of short
stories; and a play. Two-time winner of the al-Qattan Young Writer
Award. Script titled "The Inheritance" awarded second
prize in School of Screenwriting (Tel Aviv) competition
