* The new novel of Ahmad Rafiq Awad, "Maqamat al Uchaq wal Tujar" was reviewed at the Centre, in a book discussion with poet Hussein Barghouti, and critic Mazen Saadeh.

* A symposium on the life & legacy of Khalil Sakakini was organized, on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of his death. Speakers included former pupils, and researchers of his work such as: Dr. Ibrahim Abu Loghod, Salah Baranssi, Wassim Kurdi, and Ibrahim Abu Ghosh. A heated discussion followed the proceedings on the state of the Palestinian educational system, with calls for the resumption of the teaching of the Khalil Sakakini manuals in schools.

* Painter Samia Halaby made a gift to the Centre of four prints of her computer kinetic paintings. The prints will be part of the permanent collection of the Centre.
