* Renovation work continued at the Sakakini, and activities were kept to a minimum. Central heating was installed, and work continues on building the outer wall, storage room, new gate, and bookstore space.

* Capitalizing on the presence in Ramallah of Dr. Naseeb Shaheen, the Sakakini invited him to deliver a lecture on “Preserving and Recording the History of Ramallah”, the focus of 2 books he wrote on the subject. Dr. Shaheen is a Shakesperean scholar & English literature professor who has been researching local photographic archives, Ottoman and Quaker archives, & Ramallah genealogies for decades. He spoke of his research work, as well as of the history of the town, migration waves, etc..

* Within its Nakba commemoration activities, the Centre hosted a session of Nakba testimonies by two eyewitnesses to the battles in the no man's land area after the cease fire of 1948. They discussed relations with the Iraqi army, & with Yugoslav volunteers, skirmishes between the -Palestinian volunteer corps- Jihad Muqaddas & the Jordanian army, & the Ras El Ayn battle.
