** FILM SCREENING: "Palestine is Still the Issue"
** SATURDAY 22/3 @ 6:00 PM
In 1977, award-winning journalist & film-maker, John Pilger,
made a documentary called Palestine "Is Still The Issue". That
film showed how almost a million Palestinians were forced off their land
in 1948, & in 1967. In this 2002 remake, Pilger returns to Palestine,
to ask why the Palestinians, whose right of return was affirmed by the
UN more than half a century ago, are still caught in a terrible limbo.
(Dir. Tony Stark, 55 mins., 2002)
