Meet the artist: Selva Tachdjian.

French artist Selva Tachdjian will present a short film she made titled
"Letters to Vera", where she honors Palestinian Shuhada, following the
death of her friend, artist Abdel Hamid el Khorti in Gaza, through an
exchange of correspondence with artist Vera Tamari.
The artist is in Palestine to work on an art project about olive trees,
that she will also introduce.
Concert: Pianist Berit Juul Rasmussen.

Pianist Berit Juul Rasmussen will perform works by Scandinavian composers
Grieg, Carl Nielsen, & Rued Langaard. Organized by the Edward Said
National Conservatory of Music.
Meet the artist: Khaled Hourani.

Khaled Hourani is a prominent visual artist and curator, who spent the
summer at the UKs Braziers 2004 International Artist Workshop. He will
present images of new works he developed at the workshop, as well as the
work of other international artists who participated.
Art exhibition: Lithographs of Rachid Koraοchi: Ode to Beirut

Algerian artist Rachid Koraοchi is one of the most acclaimed Arab visual
artists on the international art scene. The Sakakini will exhibit works
donated by him to our permanent collection: A series of prints of drawings
and calligraphy, forming an art work mixing the poetry of Mahmoud
Darwishs 1980s Ode to Beirut, with Koraοchis distinctive visual
style.
Concert: Flutist Wissam Boustany.

Lebanese musician Wissam Boustany, who will be accompanied by Alex Szram
on the piano, will perform compositions by Donizetti, Houtaf Khoury,
Gabriel Faurι, Gabriel Piernι, & a composition titled Peaced Together
written especially for Boustany by British composer Shaun Bracey.
Organized by the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music.
The Khalil Sakakini Cultural Centre is
a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 1996. Located in
Ramallah in a restored traditional mansion, it works in three areas: The
visual arts, Palestinian identity & narrative, and holding regular public
activities such as: Art exhibits, concerts, literary events, film
screenings, children's activities, & lectures.
