Jack Persekian on the 7th Sharjah Biennial
**
.reflecting on shifting interpretations of identity, home and land,
the 7th Sharjah Biennial sheds new light on the elusive subject of
belonging in its many manifestations

Sharjah has the only contemporary art biennial of its kind in the whole
Arab world. Jack Persekian, head curator of the 7th Sharjah Biennial,
will give a slide presentation reflecting on the biennial experience.

Children's exhibition
** A panel and postcard exhibition prepared with dried Palestinian wild
flowers and produced by Palestinian children from various villages in
the periphery of Ramallah. The exhibition is the culmination of a
project that lasted for a few months and was organized by the Child Care
Society and UNDP/GEF

Musical Performance:-
Patriarch Extends his Son of a Refugee Tour with a stop in the Holy land
on August 11th at the Palestinian Cultural Palace. Ramallah, Palestine
will be the backdrop to the biggest Hip Hop Concert in the Occupied
Territories of Palestine in history. Joining him in this historic event
will be local Palestinian Hip Hop acts, such as DAM, MWR, PR with their
own respected performances.

falling in love: physical passion, arguments, separation, and reunion.

Art Exhibition:
**Khalil Al Sakakini Cultural Center cordially invites you to attend the
opening of a special collective art exhibition that stands as the
culmination of the Contemporary Art Summer School for young emerging
artists. This program is based on two such introductory seminars held in
2003 and 2004 at the KSCC (the exhibition continues until Wednesday
10/8)
